Tasneem Eltabakh, Software Engineer. Computer & Information Engineering graduate from Zewail City. I ship production backends, wire up microservices, and train ML models. Obsessed with clean architecture and the stuff that keeps systems alive under pressure.

I like owning a feature end to end, from database schema to API to deployment.

As the sole backend engineer on a commercial ASP.NET Core platform, I shipped real software used by real businesses while still a student. My graduation project pushed that into microservices and reliability. I care about how systems behave under pressure, and I pick up whatever the problem needs.

SmartLoad

Graduation Project, Grade A

Adaptive Load-Management Middleware

A control loop that sits in front of an NGINX pool and turns traffic routing, forecasting, anomaly detection, and autoscaling into one safe, self-driving system.

250x

lower errors & tail latency during failures

final graduation grade

The problem

A normal load balancer cannot see when a server behind it is slow or quietly failing, so it keeps sending traffic to a node that is timing out. Errors and latency spike exactly when the system is under the most pressure.

The solution

SmartLoad detects failing servers, reroutes around them, and forecasts demand to scale the pool before peaks hit. A classical load-balancer fallback keeps every automated decision safe and reversible.

Architecture

Outcomes

  • Reroutes around slow / failing servers a balancer can't detect
  • Predictive autoscaling stays ahead of traffic peaks
  • Operator console with manual overrides
  • Safe classical fallback for every decision
  • Python
  • NGINX
  • Redis
  • TimescaleDB
  • Docker
  • Kubernetes
  • OpenTelemetry
  • Prometheus
  • Grafana
  • scikit-learn
  • Stable-Baselines3
  • Flask
  • React
